WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS HOUSE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD

 

THE HOUSE

One of the best things we love about this home is its size and openness.   From its double master bedrooms up and downstairs, to its spacious kitchen and cozy private back porch, the home’s center rotunda has always been an “awe” for visiting family and friends.  As you walk through, you realize just how big this home really is.  The highlights include separate his and hers closets in the downstairs master.  We’ve loved that!  The open kitchen format and formal dining room have been wonderful as well as the media room upstairs.  This is a home that nice and has private niches throughout so no matter how big the family is, everyone has their little quit place if they want.   Outside, we’ve enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the back patio.   We originally built this home to face north so that during the wintertime, the home itself would block the winter north wind allowing us to enjoy a nice back patio year round.  We’ve loved that! 

 

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

One of the best things about this neighborhood is its location to shops.  I must admit, we’ve been spoiled to be literally 2 to 4 minutes away Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Kroegers, Costco, the new movie theater down the street and wonderful restaurants all around to name a few.  Google the neighborhood and you’ll see that you’re right in the middle of everything including medical facilities.  From easy access to I-75 to the short distance from historic old town McKinney, many of us have called Live Oak Creek a little “heaven” right in the middle of everything. 

To complement the neighborhood, you realize that you’re surrounded by some of the nicest neighbors a neighborhood could have from every walk of life.  We’ve always felt safe and secure here. A typical walk around the neighborhood should always include a stroll through our well-maintained neighborhood dog park, playground and connected sidewalk that winds through the east side of our neighborhood. We love it back there. Secluded by tall wood tree’s, this sidewalk will eventually connect to the rest of the interconnected walk system throughout McKinney and southward.
